SSP PHP Faisalabad Region Mirza Anjum Kamal Issues August Performance Report

FAISALABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Punjab Highway Patrol Faisalabad Region, Mirza Anjum Kamal has released the performance report for August 2026, highlighting significant achievements in crime prevention, law enforcement, public assistance and road safety across the region.According to SSP Mirza Anjum Kamal, Punjab Highway Patrol teams registered 491 cases under various sections of law and arrested 492 accused persons during the month. During checking through the e-Police App, patrol teams arrested seven proclaimed offenders and four court absconders involved in different cases and handed them over to the respective police stations.The arrested suspects were found in possession of two illegal pistols and ammunition, which were taken into police custody. In operations against narcotics and liquor, 13 cases were registered and 229 litres of liquor were recovered. A stolen motorcycle was also recovered during checking and taken into police custody.
SSP Mirza Anjum Kamal said that Punjab Highway Patrol personnel also demonstrated their commitment to public service by providing immediate assistance at 18 road accident sites, helping 31 people, while five injured persons were provided first aid.
Moreover, patrol teams assisted 1,940 drivers and citizens whose vehicles had broken down or who faced difficulties on highways.
Demonstrating a strong sense of duty and responsibility, Punjab Highway Patrol personnel also reunited two missing children with their families.In addition, patrol teams removed 92 temporary and permanent encroachments from highways to ensure smooth traffic flow and improve public safety.SSP Mirza Anjum Kamal reiterated the Punjab Highway Patrol Faisalabad Region’s commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring safety on highways, protecting citizens and providing timely assistance to the public.
